Interview with Candour Beauty
Jacqueline Kusamotu and Abi Lawrence-Adesida are the co-founders of Candour Beauty, the first multi-brand beauty and personal care retailer aimed specifically at targeting Black women and women of colour. Headquartered in London, Candour Beauty aims to address an underserved market of women who want access to quality beauty and personal care products that specifically target their beauty needs.
Jacqueline and Abi identified a longstanding gap within the mainstream market where Black women are unseen, misrepresented, unheard and misunderstood. The retail website offers a specially curated collection of independent niche brands and widely used cult classics across three main categories; Skincare, Haircare and Personal Care.
Candour Beauty aims to provide content that educates and inspires, to allow customers and consumers alike to make more informed buying decisions to empower them to live an authentic unapologetic life.
