The Texture Style Awards is a new beauty competition celebrating the beauty of hair and honor the artists who have mastered styling techniques for all hair textures.
Celebrity hairstylist and color/texture expert Monaè Everett created the Texture Style Awards to help increase diversity and inclusion within the beauty industry by placing equal emphasis on all four hair texture categories: straight, wavy, curly, and coily/kinky.

Monaé Everett is a celebrity hair stylist, author, and public speaker with 20 years of experience. Her work can be seen in media ranging from Harper’s BAZAAR to Yahoo! and ESSENCE to Hair’s How.
